Garden Photography
Photography for Hospitality/Wedding Events
The Garden will be made available for photo opportunities at no charge with the rental of the Events Garden. Photography sessions prior to or after a planned must be scheduled in advance (see below).
Photography for Non Hospitality Events
If you would like to have professional photographs made in the Garden without a facility rental, please complete the session application below.
Session Rates:
Small Group Photography Fee - $25
Includes a 30 minute session and admission for up to four plus photographer.*
Professional Photography Session Fee - $50
Includes a two-hour session and admission for up to eight plus photographer.*
Commercial/Advertising Photography Fee - $150
Includes a three-hour session and admission for up to eight plus photography crew.*
*Additional admissions are $5.00 each, to be paid at the time of booking based on your group size.
Policies (Updated May 26, 2004)
We welcome everyone to enjoy the Garden and the many photographic opportunities that it offers. We ask that all photographers and session group members be courteous to other visitors and abide by these policies to help us protect the Garden and keep it looking its best for others to enjoy.
Paid reservations are required for all professional and commercial sessions. Reservations must be made in advance using the session links below.
A minimum of 24 hour notice is required for all sessions booked for times after 4 PM. Garden staff must be onsite when visitors are present. Otherwise, gates will be locked at closing time.
Paid session group members are welcome to remain in the garden after their photo session has ended, within our normal open hours.
The Booking Calendar displayed below shows current session bookings and planned garden events that you may want to schedule your sessions around.
Changing rooms are not available. Please arrive dressed for your photo shoot. We do have restrooms available, located behind the visitor center.
Please be careful where you walk and stand when off of the pathways and avoid any setups that could cause damage the garden. The streams are very sensitive and should only be crossed at the bridges. Likewise, the pools and their borders are equally sensitive and should not be walked in or around.
You may get a rain check for inclement weather or other reasons. Let us know if you get rained out or need to reschedule. You will receive a confirmation with a link to reschedule.
The use of drones for photography is restricted. Contact info@hopebotanicalgarden.org for more information.
Booking Process
Complete the online booking form linked below and request a date and time within our business hours for immediate confirmation. (If you request a time after business hours, we will reply with a number to call to confirm your date and time based on the availability of staff.) Payment is required in advance and we must know how many guests you will have.
You will receive a confirmation email with links to manage your booking should you need to reschedule for any reason.
Rain Checks
If your session is canceled for any reason you can reschedule for another time using the link in your confirmation email. You will receive a new confirmation email when a makeup session is rescheduled.
Refunds
An unused session can be refunded at any time. If you know that you will not be able to use a previously paid session on a future date, let us know the date and time of the unused session by email and we will promptly refund your payment. Refunds can take about up to 5 days to complete.
